2009 Campaign Events
PIP Kick-Off Breakfast – September 15, 2009: Join us on September 15 from 7:30-
9:00 a.m. in the Jereld R. Nicholson Library on the Linfield Campus to launch the 37th annual Partners in Progress campaign. We’ll honor quarter-century PIP supporters, browse 36 years of PIP memorabilia, and listen to voices from PIP’s past and future – all while networking with local business leaders and enjoying a great breakfast.
PIP Campaign Week -- September 15-22, 2009: The PIP Kick-Off Breakfast inaugurates the 2009-2010 PIP campaign week, September 15- 22, 2009. PIP volunteers will be contacting supporters by phone or in person during this week.
PIP Celebration -- November 10, 2009: This year, we’ll celebrate the successful end of the PIP campaign on November 10 from 7:30-9:00 a.m. to highlight National Philanthropy

Linfield has an annual economic impact on Yamhill County of over $34.8 million, including:
- An annual payroll of over $29.5 million to more than 335 McMinnville Campus employees
- Over $2.5 million spent in the local community last year, not including the thousands of additional dollars spent by employees, students and guests of Linfield
- Nineteen varsity athletic teams compete at the NCAA Division III level, attracting thousands of visitors to local events
- $2.8 million in estimated property taxes paid each year by employees and alumni who live in Yamhill County
- More than 7,500 prospective students, families and conference attendees who visit Linfield College and Yamhill County each year
- Cultural offerings – theatre productions, art exhibits, lectures, concerts, and library facilities, all open to the public – that enrich the community and attract visitors

Last year, Yamhill County businesses and residents contributed almost $500,000 to Linfield, more than 10% of total fundraising revenues
- Yamhill County contributions provide scholarships for local Linfield students and funding for the Nicholson Library, the Linfield Chamber Orchestra, and Wildcat Athletics
- Local businesses partner with Linfield to offer volunteer, internship and employment opportunities for students and alumni
- Yamhill County citizens serve Linfield as board members, employees, host families, athletic fans, and regional ambassadors
