Why Lori joined the PCLT? "As parents, we care deeply about our child's future and this huge transformation into adulthood . . . with passage into college. Over a year ago, when my son began as a freshman at Linfield, I felt the 'community' sense that Linfield reflects. Wouldn't it be exciting to have that same 'community' feeling among the parents of Linfield students? This council is the vehicle for that to happen. Linfield parents have faithfully nurtured their students to the edge of adulthood and these very parents are a wonderful resource for this college. I see that there is an important place for the Linfield parent and it is important that we always feel welcome and connected to the college."

Why Karen joined the PCLT? "Opportunity to share with other parents and students the amazing experience of a Linfield education and to become more familiar with its future direction."

Why Laura joined the PCLT? Our “Linfield experience” has been a very positive one, both for us as parents and for our son as a student. Being involved in the Parents Council Leadership Team is a way for me to share my enthusiasm about Linfield with other parents and to stay informed and be connected with the school.

Want to get more involved?
The Linfield College Parents Council welcomes and involves parents of current and former students as vital members of the Linfield community. The goal of the council is to enhance the Linfield experience for students and their families -- by helping parents conenct with other parents, alumni, students, staff, faculty and administrators. Parents Council members gather for events, advise Linfield leaders, contribute their support, inspire and mentor students and alumni, and serve as Linfield ambassadors and hosts.
The council is guided by members of the Parents Council Leadership Team, who have agreed to contribute $1,000 or more annually, and attend meetings of the Council in the fall and spring. Contact Jodi Kilcup, assistant vice president for College Relations, for more information.
