Career Mentor Program

Career Mentor Day is taking on a different look this year. In an effort to accommodate more students, allow more flexibility and to provide mentoring opportunities outside the Portland area, the one-day program has been expanded to cover a two-week period. The new format allows alumni and
students the freedom to choose the day that works best with their schedules.

The program remains open to current Linfield juniors who will have the opportunity to explore a career field by "job shadowing" an alumna/us for one day between Oct. 16 and 27. Alumni will have the chance to help students set a course for the future.

Alumni who volunteer to participate in the program will be matched with a student eager to learn more about their profession. The student and alumna/us  are responsible for selecting the date that works best. Those students who are without transportation can take a van to the Portland area
on Oct. 17 or Oct. 24.

If you are willing to let a student "shadow" you for a day in order to learn more about your career area, please click here to complete the form or contact Debbie Harmon '90, director of alumni relations, (503) 883-2607. The deadline is Sept. 22. An email confirming your participation and introducing you to your student will be sent the week of Oct. 4.
